I loved the NBA Street game on the Xbox, playing 4 player multiplayer was so enjoyable that me and my friends actually went out and started playing proper basketball at our local sports ground.

Along with Halo 2 and Buzz, probably the best console multiplayer experience. Looking forward to the new generation versions.

I agree with you mate, everytime I'm on the train a lot of parents get out a DS to stop their children screaming and running about the place. For many parents Gameboys and the like are ways to "look after" their children for them and for a relatively cheap price it does the job!

On the other hand everytime I see someone with a PSP on the train it always seem to be a male 14-28 year old playing on it by themselves.

It's just different markets, that's all...

I think that PspFanboy.com's (click on the Via link above) made an interesting summary of one of the interviewee responses:

"Mike Wolf from ABI Research thinks that anti-Sony fanboyism runs wild due to high expectations placed on Sony ... due to their ambitious claims. "I believe the device's perceived 'failure' by some is due to the device struggling to live up to Sony's own marketing of the product, much like what the PS3 is going through today."

Argh! My eyes, my eyes!

Haha, could that advert be any more cheesy?!

That's actually a really funny article. Looks like the old adage of "Funny cos it's true" is right after all.

Good to read the other side of the argument, i.e. from the customer this time.

Good find to whoever the contributor is. :)

England, 1993, Commodore put this billboard poster for their Amiga CD32 right outside Sega's UK headquarters.

At the time Sega's phrase was "To be this good will take ages. Sega." This was Commodore's response:

Couldn't agree with you more my friend. I want a return to the 90's when gaming commercials made you beg your parents to buy you a console and some games.

Nowadays kids are asking their parents for eggs and ducks, yeah they're both healthy and filling in their own way (not to mention delicious), but where's the fun I tell ya, where's the fun?

That Genesis commercial on your post was how it's supposed to be done. I love the way they show live footage of American f...

One of the greatest consoles ever, it's been years, but us fans are still trying to get over the loss.

One day Sega and their fans will unite and get their revenge, mwah ha ha ... any day now ...

deepbrown mate, on behalf of the National Association of Egg Producers, I'd like to say thanks for making it a little bit clearer.

I still feel I need to see a lot more footage together till I fully understand what is going on though! :p

By the way how do you get a Video to appear in your description like that? I just can't seem to figure it out!

That would definitely make more sense. I look forward to watching them in all one go as some kind of epic story with multiple plot strands.

Could actually be quite cool if it all comes together!

That advert really worked, I feel hungry and that's made me wanna go out and buy an egg, maybe scrambled, that would be nice.

Thanks to the National Association of Egg Producers (NAEP) for funding this advert. (And before you ask, yes I am a member)

Oh, and I suppose I might as well buy another PS3 while I'm out getting the egg ... why not?

This really was ahead of its time and a great console, a real pity.

What I really want to know though, is when is the greatest game ever, SHENMUE 3, gonna be released?!

... really appreciate it mate! :p

They've been saying this for years now while consoles have only got more and more popular. I used to be a PC gamer but got sick of having to upgrade or buy a new computer to keep up with the gaming world.

Consoles will never look better than their high end PC counterparts as new components are coming out for them all the time, but life sure is easier with a console and at least you know your game will work and look the same on every console (barring Backwards Compatability issu...

Gaming nirvana will soon be mine - these are the kind of high quality games I look forward to playing on my consoles.

Game of the Year, surely?

Approve this quick, a lot of people have been waiting to hear this ... (!)

Yeah good call, there's a lot stuff in the underlying article and all that Japanese writing from the magazine doesn't look very inviting for those that don't understand it.

At first I thought you could understand Japanese and had dilligently translated for the rest of us deepbrown ... then I saw the English translation in the middle!

Ah, my impressions of your skills were raised high ... then they fell! Haha

P.S. "summarize" - That's tota...

Haha, that's funny Loopy - I'll remember that.

Forget seeing a doctor, next time "toilet troubles" strike Uwe Boll will come to the rescue! I knew there was a point for his existence after all.

I think there's a lot to be said for working under pressure and to a deadline (up to a point of course). It really helps to focus the mind, to think of good ideas and to think of them quickly.

I believe it's a good way of bringing out innovation.

Some big commercial game developers should take note!
